Fallout 4 Far Harbor Trailer

Bethesda released the official trailer for Fallout 4’s third add-on, Far Harbor, which will be available worldwide on Thursday, May 19 across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC for $24.99.

In Far Harbor, an extension of the Valentine’s Detective Agency story leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Bethesda looks like it’s trying to expand on the old detective genre with some more intrigue and gumshoe work.

The latest Fallout 4 DLC takes place off the coast of Maine on the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. In the trailer we hear about Atom being given form as fog, so don’t lose the map on your Pip-Boy or you could get lost and turned around.

Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?

Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that Bethesda Game Studios has ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

The question from fans of Fallout like myself is, “Will this add more to the game than KILL, LOOT, RETURN?” At the very least Far Harbor looks to have some painful moral choices to make.

Or maybe not so painful if you kill synths on sight… you dirty meat-bag.

Like all good Bethesda games, there’s a massive modding community behind Fallout 4, with the ‘Mods’ update available on PC the community is being fostered further. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will need to wait until June.

What do you think of the trailer for Fallout 4 DLC ‘Far Harbor’? Is this enough for you to climb back into the power armour and go for a stroll in the fog?

Far Harbor is part of the Fallout 4 DLC Season Pass available on Steam and Amazon.
