Just as Vault-Tec Planned, Bethesda has released the Android version of its hit mobile game, Fallout Shelter. You can get the free game today from Google Play right here.

Fallout Shelter was announced during Bethesda’s first-ever E3 briefing in June, and released just minutes later on iOS, though Android users have had to wait. The game lets you build your own ‘Vault-Tec’ Vault and act as its “Overseer.”

Basically, you control all the people inside the vault and must keep them productive and happy. The gameplay feels like a mash-up of Fallout and Sim Tower.

Although the game was developed as a way to tide fans over until Fallout 4, according to Bethesda’s Todd Howard, Fallout Shelter has become quite the money make. The game, the first-ever mobile title based on Fallout, made $5.1 million in its first two weeks from the sale of virtual lunchboxes, according to a research firm.

You can buy a single lunchbox for 99 cents or pay as much as $20 for a set of 40. These in-game items are completely optional to progress in the game, though can contain interesting items.

“It just shows that fans are smart; and if you give them something they think is fun, they probably reward the people who made it,” Howard said back in June about the mobile game’s early success.

Fallout 4, the next proper entry in the Fallout series, is due out in November for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
