Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is now available for the iPad in Australia and New Zealand, Blizzard has announced.
Australia, New Zealand and Canada are the first territories in the world to be able to play the iPad edition of Hearthstone.
The free-to-play collectible card game is compatible with iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina devices.
It can be downloaded from the Apple App Store right now.
In the official announcement on the Battle.net Blog, Blizzard states,
Launching Hearthstone in a limited set of countries allows us to focus on the end-to-end player experience and make sure it’s awesome before we move on to the rest of the world. If you don’t live in Australia, Canada, or New Zealand, you don’t have much longer to wait to get your hands on Hearthstone for iPad—Murloc Scout’s honor.
Microsoft and Android fans shouldn’t despair, Hearthstone is coming to Windows 8 tablets, iOS phones, and Android devices later this year. It left beta on PC and Mac last month.
The game is completely cross-platform compatible, so those on iPad can challenge play against those on PC, for example.
Your Hearthstone deck collection and data is also shared across all devices. Which means you’ll be able to keep ignoring friends and family if you’re forced to leave your PC and go outside.
