Developer Dice, has today stated that the beta version for the fast approaching Star Wars Battlefront, has been granted a longer life and will now conclude on October 13th (Exact time will vary according to region – Ed).

According to Dice this extension will permit them to compose a slew of other tests for the game, including match balancing as well as an array of others.

“Every time you log on, it’s helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch,” Dice stated in their site. “As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure”.

“These additional tests will start on Monday, October 12 and will run through Tuesday, October 13th, which will add an additional day to the open Beta. These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.”

The Star Wars Battlefront Beta will also be available to play at PAX Australia this year.

For those who don’t know, Star Wars Battlefront will see gamers traverse the varied planets of the Star Wars galaxy, in which players will be equipped with an array of new weapons and abilities, in order to bring down the tyrannical Empire or destroy the Rebel scum.
