Riot Games is gearing up for the International Wild Card All-Stars (IWCA) by announcing that the renowned European League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS) casting team is heading to Melbourne to present live at Margaret Court Arena from 26-29 November.
The EU LCS line up, including Trevor ‘Quickshot’ Henry, James ‘Stress’ O’Leary, Devin ‘PiraTechnics’ Younge, Richard ‘Pulse’ Kam and headed up by popular Belgian born host Eefje ‘Sjokz’ Depoortere will make the long trip down to Australian shores.
The Oceania shoutcasters Max ‘Atlus’ Anderson,Julian ‘Pastrytime’ Carr, Zack ‘Rusty’ Pye and Jake ‘Spawn’ Tiberi who hosted and casted the Oceanic Pro League will also be on stage. Earlier this year Australian fans were able to watch the OPL Grand Finals live from Luna Park in Sydney.
“I’m super excited to work on IWCA – first off, I’ve never been to Australia and I’ve heard amazing things about the League community over there. On top of that, we get to cover the best Wildcard teams and take a look into who might be doing good on the international stage in the seasons to come! Can’t wait,” commented Sjokz, who notably hosted the 2013 World Finals at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Tickets for the two live days, 28-29 November, are still available at http://promo.oce.leagueoflegends.com/en/iwca-2015/index.html
Voting for the Oceanic All-Star roster begins 21 September via the IWCA website. You can check out more about the international casting team from the official website here.
Riot Games have commented that they will have a reduced presence at PAX Australia this year (also in Melbourne) as they are focusing on their eSports leagues.
