Top down shooter Hotline Miami 2: The Wrong number has been refused classification by the Australian Classification Board, rendering it banned in the country.
The Board put out a statement to try and clear up any misconceptions, games that “depict, express or otherwise deal with matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime, cruelty, violence or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified.”
Despite the fact that Hotline Miami 2 has been refused by Australian Classification the original Hotline Miami game did eventually get a 15+ rating.
