Riot Games Announces OPL Grand Final Community Activities
Starting 11am August 8th fans will be able to explore Sydney’s Luna Park and take part in the free League of Legends community activities throughout the day. Players who don’t have tickets for the OPL Grand Final in the Big Top can still wander around the park and watch the live matches from 5pm on the big screens in the public viewing areas.
Luna Park has a maximum capacity of 6,000 visitors, so there may be waiting times to enter the park. Ticket holders will be able to skip the queues.
Activities In The Park
Community Hall: Located behind Coney Island, this will be home to the community stage where players can enjoy Q&As with Rioters, panels, signings, cosplay and art showcases. For a more detailed schedule, check the official website.
Community Games: Champion-themed games that will be set up on the Lavender Green and free for punters to test their skills.
Merchandise: Players can head to the Popcorn Hall to buy t-shirts, plush, figurines and posters.
Cosplay Lounge: Cosplayers can relax and repair any breaks at the dedicated Cosplay Lounge.
Food and Drink: Players can take a pit stop and refuel at Braum’s Burgers for a bite to eat and to get their hands on a limited edition Coca-Cola cup.
Ferry Shuttle: There is a free one-way ferry running hourly from Commissioner’s Steps to Circular Quay.
Bus from SMASH: SMASH attendees can hitch a free ride on buses leaving for Luna Park at 2pm and 3:30pm, though booking is required.
Bus to HOYTS Broadway: Those not wanting to stick around Luna Park but wanting to hit the viewing party at HOYTS can get on a bus at 4pm.
