Abios Gaming – Keep Up With eSports

Abios Gaming brings eSports coverage to you even easier with their calendar initiative.

Now I’m overwhelmed with choice

Multi Million dollar prizes, screaming fans and the chance to take home the cup, eSports has seen huge growth in the last 12 months. Big plays and epic wins are watched by thousands of fans across the globe on a daily basis. Abios Gaming brings the fragmented nature of eSports information under one roof.

StarCraft 2, League of Legends, DotA2 and Heroes of Newerth and their upcoming competitive matches are all featured on the main page. Through the simple layout readers can navigate through to popular streams and tournament information.

Started by a group of students in Sweden, Abios Gaming provides a great platform for finding your favourite eSports events.

When asked about Abios Gaming, Co-founder Anton Janér commented,

“We all enjoy watching eSports streams and playing the games in our free time and we are confident that more people would too, if given a good interface. Also, as we keep the information down to the most relevant it is not as overwhelming as many other sites.”

Handy info on big tournaments

Event organisers in this emerging industry often run into trouble getting the information to their awaiting audience. Tournament dates and match schedules are often communicated only a few days before they start. Live-stream coverage is often moved or cancelled with little notice.

While eSports can be considered to still be in its infancy, there is huge growth with events such as ‘The International’ and StarCraft II GSL. The recent International 2013 boasted a prize pool of $2.8 MIllion dollars and more than a million simultaneous viewers at one time.

In an interview with Swedish Startup Space, Janér said Abios Gaming is looking towards the future,

“We are currently providing this information for Starcraft II, League of Legends, Dota 2 and Heroes of Newerth. Next up is adding more games without affecting the easy navigation and clean design. We will also be adding more user customization options and a lot of new features.”

So if you’re keen on eSports but have trouble finding when your favourite teams are playing, take a look at Abios Gaming.
