HoN Tour Season 2 has been announced with a total prize pool of $360,000 USD.
South East Asia, North American and Europe, Latin America and Commonwealth of Independent States. Teams from these regions will have to compete in their own regional divisions and host their respective National Finals. Winners of the National Finals will go on to fight for ultimate victory at the International Finals.
HoN Tour Season 2 – Prize Pool
The prize pool for the International finals is reported to be $150,000 USD. Garena has announced that the SEA region will have a prize pool of $100,000 SGD (approx $78,000 USD) which leaves an unknown split of $132,000 USD between: North America and Europe region, Latin American region and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS Region).
Developer S2 Games has announced on Facebook and HoNTour.com website that HoN Tour Season 2 qualifiers begin on Saturday, July 27th, and last until August 8th. With the first Cycle of HoN Tour Season 2 beginning August 10th.
The overall reaction from the community has been positive to the announcement. Community personality responsible for eSports coverage, Richard ‘Mangy’ Lee responded,
“I’m glad the new season is finally announced, there already was movement in the competitive scene awaiting the announcement and I expect to see teams finalised and ready to crush for the top spot.”
The previous HoN Tour Season was well received during the event but led to a lacklustre Grand Finals.
