Bethesda Annouces Wolfenstein: The New Order

Last Tuesday, Bethesda made the announcement, the next installment of the Wolfenstein series will be coming in the fourth quarter of this year. And to start the teaser campaign Bethesda released the very first trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order.

The trailer depicts several gears and industrial foundry effects. The gruff voice of protagonist B.J. Blazcowski introduces us to a world in which the Nazi’s have won World War II and have taken over in the 1960s. They also have control of some crazy mech’s and the moon. What they see in that place time and time again I’ll never understand. Also, if you’re a Jimi Hendrix fan the background music should bring you in a little more too, with his rendition of ‘All Along the Watchtower’.

Not much is known about the game other than it is going to be strictly a single-player game. Machine Games has already confirmed this fact with Gamespot, informing them there would be no multiplayer. PC and current console generation users will be playing the game later this year. And if you have more patience they will also be bringing the game to the PS4 and other next-generation consoles. It will also have additional technology behind it with help of id’s id Tech 5 engine, making a powerful combination of tech. Enjoy the trailer below to whet your appetite.
