Trainers, pack your Poké Balls and your sunnies — Pokémon GO City Safari is making its Australian debut in Sydney this December, turning the Harbour City into a massive, real-world Pokémon playground.
Sydney Set for Pokémon Adventure
For the first time ever, Pokémon GO City Safari is heading Down Under, taking over Sydney on December 13 and 14, 2025. From the iconic Opera House to the sands of Manly Beach, Trainers will explore the city’s landmarks, uncover hidden gems, and catch event-exclusive Pokémon as part of a citywide scavenger hunt.
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. AEDT each day, the event transforms Sydney into a live Pokémon habitat, complete with themed activities, giveaways, and Pokémon encounters you won’t find anywhere else.
Tickets start at AUD$19, with optional add-ons like Raid Lover and Egg-thusiast bonuses, and an Extra Day Add-On for those keen to play both days. Tickets are available now through the Pokémon GO app — and, as Niantic reminds everyone, it’s first come, first served.
Stamp Rally and Special Encounters
The highlight of Sydney’s City Safari is the Pokémon GO Stamp Rally, featuring seven of the city’s most scenic and historic locations:

Sydney’s streets will also be teeming with event-exclusive Pokémon, including Mudbray, the Donkey Pokémon, making its Australian debut at City Safari events. Lucky Trainers might even spot a Shiny or two during their adventure.
