PAX Aus 2024 to Feature an All-Star Lineup of Special Guests

As PAX Aus 2024 fast approaches, excitement is mounting with the announcement of an impressive roster of special guests, featuring international luminaries from across the gaming world. This year’s event, scheduled for October 11-13 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, promises to be a thrilling showcase of creative talents and gaming prowess.

PAX Aus will host a diverse array of industry giants, including award-winning game designers, creative directors, and internationally recognized actors and musicians. Among the most anticipated appearances are those from Wētā Workshop’s game studio, which will delve into their latest project, Tales of the Shire. This cozy simulator game will be brought to life by a panel including Art Director Stephen Lambert and Lead Game Producer Calliope Ryder, providing a unique insight into the world of Hobbit lore.

Star-Studded Appearances

The lineup also includes Abubakar Salim, renowned for his roles in Assassin’s Creed Origins and HBO’s House of the Dragon. Salim, who is also the founder and CEO of Surgent Studios, will share experiences from his latest game release, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. Additionally, Rich Lambert, Game Director of The Elder Scrolls Online, will connect with fans, offering a deep dive into the ongoing development of this beloved series.

Natsuko Ishikawa and Saki Takayanagi from the Final Fantasy XIV team will also be present, discussing their pivotal roles in the game’s narrative and quest design, while Sonia Coronado, a senior music designer known for her work on major titles like God of War Ragnarök, will explore the intersection of music and gaming.

From eSports to Cosplay

Notably, Australia’s own FlyQuest, a prominent esports organization, will meet fans and discuss their journey and successes on the international stage. International cosplay champion Sameer Bundela will also attend, celebrating over a decade of remarkable contributions to the cosplay community.
