New Metal Gear Online Details Emerge

Metal Gear Online The Phantom Pain

Konami has released a slew of new information regarding Metal Gear Solid V‘s hotly anticipated online counterpart, which comes packaged with the action stealth sequel later this fall.

The most recent iteration of Metal Gear Online will feature larger maps than previous titles have ever boasted and will easily be able to accommodate snipers.

As well as this Konami also revealed that an auto aim feature will be implemented into the title that players will be able to toggle on/off, whilst the the game’s control scheme will remain similar to that of Ground Zeroes’ input, albiet slightly retweaked by the developer.

Metal Gear Online Will Support 16 Players

Konami has also confirmed that Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer component that comes packaged with Metal Gear Solid V, will support up to 16 players across PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

This news comes via Metal Gear Solid V’s official site, which also revealed that the game’s last generation counterparts will support a slightly reduced player count of 12.

The Phantom Pain will arrive on September 1st, 2015, with Metal Gear Online servers going live the same day.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, Ps3, Xbox 360, and PC.
