After controversy over more recent games embargo dates, Techland have said in a statement that Dying Light will be as transparent as possible.

Along with this Maciej Binkowski revealed that a demo for Dying Light is highly unlikely therefore the best way to get some early thoughts on the game is to read the games reviews.

I know its a little early for talking about reviews, but a few games recently have been making the review embargos AFTER the release of the game, which is shady to say the least, will DLs review embargo be before the release date?

[updated]
No, we do not have embargoes of that nature. We want to be as transparent as we can towards our fans, so don’t worry – there won’t be any review embargoes AFTER the game is released.

Sorry I made a mistake. It was supposed to say “after the game is release” right from the start.

Are there collectables spread out the game world? I can imagine things getting stale after a while, i’m worried there won’t be enough to do in the game 😡

Yes there are collectibles. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of stuff to keep you occupied for looong hours.

Are there different stages of pursuit? Like in “Need for Speed – Most Wanted (the first). Because the red points next to the minimap looks like they mark how hard you are hunted.

You noticed! That’s awesome! Yes these red boxes are exactly that.

Why did you guys cut off some features? Couldn’t you delay the game for another couple of months?

It’s very easy to end up in a feature creep. This is very dangerous.
Game is never perfect and you always find stuff to improve.
At some point you have to say stop to yourself and just deliver a product.
Dying Light is released January 27th 2014 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
